4 out of 10 ain't too bad for today.

well...I would say today was a 4 out of 10. I got my hair cut this morning and then I picked up my friend to go for lunch. on the way to the resturant, I got really nauseated, and told Dawn to grab the garbage can from the back seat and dump out any garbage. So I made it to the next off ramp and started the upchucking while driving. I will spare all the details, but lets say that I nearly ran over a very frightened looking pedestrian and honked my horn with the garbage can. Yuk! I think I just let myself get too hungry. But this was a pretty bad all time low.

The other major news of the week (not that the previous paragraph would qualify as news)...I went to Dr. Jordan, and got some bad news. My right eye is bad again. It is different than before. He can't treat me with the medicine because it can't be used on pregnant women. At least there isn't any research that it would be ok, and it could harm the baby. So the only option presented to us would be laser surgery or leave it. But he wanted to get a second opinion from collegues. So I am waiting for that till Sept. 5th. I go back that morning to find out what the plan will be. I knew that things had changed, but I also knew that I couldn't really do much about it with the pregnancy.

what this means: we knew this could happen, and we were as ready as we could be. I am greatful for a physician that I really trust, and a very supportive family and husband. I am also very greatful that my left eye has remained healthy. we are of course praying for healing for my right eye, but acknowledging that God has a plan, and if that includes not healing my right eye, we are praying for acceptance of that possibility as well.

Hmm...well that's alot, but I think that's enough for now.

pix from the lake

we went down to the lake on saturday of last week. it was a perfect day!!! we had a great time on the boat, swimming, and had a fire and roasted marshmallows. Bella went swimming off the boat. She isn't the biggest fan of swimming, but she cooled off with Amanda & I. I forgot to bring my camera on the boat, so no snaps of the swimming adventure. My favorite is the pic of Dean and Bella wrestling in the front yard. :)

today's doctor's appt

I had my second dr. appt with my ob doc this am. I gained 2.5 lbs since last month...that seems like alot, especially since eating has been a bit of a challenge this last month. My blood pressure was good, the baby's heartrate was 143-151. And I now have a name for the horrible feeling at night where the food seems to just sit in my stomach for hours, and occasionally travel back up my esophagus. it is REFLUX...it doesn't burn so not heartburn. Well...its good to have a name anyways.

We made it back from the cities. on the way down, we hit traffic a couple different times and we got to the twins game during the 4th inning. I personally think all baseball games should start in the 4th inning. HA! After the game we went to the hotel with the Meyer crew and watched water sports (aka...the kids swimming). I didn't bring my camera in due to the humidity etc.

After a dinner of your choice of pizza (pizza hut/dominoes), we took off and stopped at Babies r us. Dean and I narrowed the stroller/carseat option to either peg perego or chicco. Now were checking into ebay options before we pay retail.

On thursdaY am, Dean helped my Aunt Chelle with some projects that needed to be done around the backyard. We went out to lunch and then we were off to the MOA. I got a couple of Maternity items, and then we went to IKEA. THe closet systems there, while very cool, were all made for free standing wardrobes, not builtin closets. So we just got some good ideas.

It was a good couple of days, but it doesn't feel like friday, it feels like Monday now. Hmmm.

This weekend will be photos tomorrow am, and then to the lake to pontoon for the day with my family.

super bad blogger

ok...I know that I have been a super bad blogger, but I just have not had the energy to spend on this. argh! I have a week off of work now, and I think I will try to get back on track. Those of you that are waiting for your passwords for photos, thank you for your patience. We are heading down to the cities to go to a twins game with dean's family. For those of you that don't really know me, this is something that I really do for him, as I could care less about baseball. I do think I will bring my camera book to really learn the ins/outs of my new equipment. Is that rude??? oh well.

I am now 15 weeks pregnant. The nausea/vomiting has NOT stopped as most people assured me it would by the beginning of the 1st trimester. I am getting really sick of being sick! ok...enough complaining.

I ended up returning my carseat that I previously mentioned in my blog. I noticed a clip that wasn't a buckle where I had thought it was, so back to square one. Now after much research and asking around, I think I have one chosen...but I would like to see it in person...so we are going to stop at Babies R Us on the way home from the cities and cross our fingers that it will be there.

We are also going to "stop" (HA!) at Ikea on Thursday. Since the baby will have our "closet" we need to get some new closet organizers and we are going to check their's out. Dean has always said that their closet organizers were cool since the 1st time he was there.

Well, I think that is it for what is going on other than a lot of laundry, and some major packing that I should have started hours ago. I just love procrastination. :)

Aaron's show

ok...Aaron's show was a few weeks ago (can't remember the exact date) and it was at the "Winery". It is in the old "boppa's bagels" by Cashwise. The setting was nice, but as far as a musical gig...it was lacking. There was no sound system. And there wasn't a cover charge...so people were there just out to eat/drink...so they just talked over the music a little bit. Next time he has a show in Fargo (hopefully!!!) will be a better gig.
